Wonderful Matters

Today out on my long walking loop in a very nice part of a town next to mine, I crisscrossed a very nice park and happened to stroll past three teenager-young-adult gentlemen. Each was wearing a white tank-top t-shirt, baggy shorts or khakis, had belts and maybe a chain or two on their hip if I remember. The one in the fedora was telling the other two, "My underwear is designer, my [some other clothing item I don't quite remember] is designer, my t-shirt is designer. Everything is designer, bro." I didn't pay any attention to anything else because I was walking pretty briskly, and I wasn't interested in prying. I thought about this and first felt this a great take on the truth that we are indeed all like that gentleman. We are all exhibitionist of some measure and it's nice to be seen as sporting the most fashionable something-or-another so we can be, well, considered . In his 1917 book Gullible's Travels , Ring Lardner wrote, "You know they's lots o' words that's called fightin' words. Some o' them starts a brawl, no matter who they're spoken to." It is the origin of the phrase, " Them's fightin' words." Perfect context for a Truth Rule that is so widely dismissed, particularly by those who screech like banshees "Freedom of speech is the very very very most important thing ever!!!" I came across a couple more monographs about the impending war, the real live physical one we're about to enjoy as a result of all the horrific emotional and spiritual violence spewed about right now. I'd written about it a bit recently in this blog effort , and ruminated a bit just as these fellows did about how expansive and even secessionist it will get. It is worse with readily available social media content splashed everywhere -- the world is now just one big massive trolling field. A Black Mirror  episode titled "Metalhead" is a standard cat and mouse tale with the relentlessly pursuing beast a weaponized robotic dog. Throughout you're rooting for the gal on the run, hoping she can ultimately find some way to get away, somehow stop the marauding advancement, perhaps even "kill" the robot to ensure its complete incapacitation -- just do something  to be able to finally settle down and not fear this thing reaching her and killing her. As with every Black Mirror episode, you can't help but think deeply about the story's implications. Here was the thought from me. Just wanted to post a brief follow-up to my last post , in which I elucidated the reasons why the manipulation of the society's value assessment tool, in the US it has traditionally been the dollar -- as it has around the world for some time as the global reserve currency -- is one of the most destructive things happening right now. There's a show on the NBC network called American Greed . Every episode showcases some crook who'd spent years hoodwinking a whole bunch of people, separating them from gobs of their money in sometimes very insidiously imaginative ways. The show's appeal also comes with the inevitable instances when they do something tremendously stupid leading to their prosecution in some form or another. It is certainly greed that is involved, but a far worse crime is the deeper motivating force: pride. This is the idea that virtue-signaling out of one's rear end is too intoxicating never mind what kinds of immoralities must be in the mix to do that. Recently the head of a crypto exchange was exposed as his multi-billion dollar money laundering operation went belly-up. Funny, at about exactly the same time this was unravelling another whiz kid showcased everywhere a few years ago as the next Somebody-Previously-Super-Famous was sentenced to quite a lengthy prison term for her widely b...

Equity sounds like such a splendid word. The Bible even speaks of God judging with equity, the exact word. The idea there, however, is that God shows no favoritism, His judgment is perfect, and yes, each individual will be held to account. The brutal truth rule there is, no one will escape that perfectly just judgment . Every one of us is guilty of the worst: lying, cheating, stealing, defrauding, murdering (even if you do so in your heart), and yes, sodomizing (which really just encompasses any sexual activity outside of a committed marriage between an adult man and adult woman). Equity to the System is something entirely different, entirely promoted as a delightfully wholesome enterprise but is actually a wickedly devastating social hellscape. So many are consumed by it. The Lord of Racialism insists you prove you aren't a racist or you will have the worst penalties assessed against you. And those proofs are the ones to which he says you must attend, such as frequent displays of sincere struggle session activity or regularly handing over decent portions of your value to demonstrate the most authentic sympathy for the interminable pain your ancestors have inflicted on those with a darker skin color than you.
