The Exceedingly Baroque World We Occupy Today

I was listening to a fine John Lennox speech put into a podcast, and it was precisely about the thrust of my own web ministry. It was called "The Greatest Deception the World Has Ever Seen," and sure enough it focused on Jesus' warning in the 24th chapter of Matthew that there would be quite a few Jesuses out there people would believe upon all the way up to the end of the age. It was a fine explication and worth listening to, it is here.

Thing is, he did not get to the main Anti-Christ to whom hundreds of millions of people give their undying devotion, the Roman Catholic Ecclesiocracy one. Mr. Lennox will never, ever mention it because he too is subsumed by the idea that really, Rome and True Biblical Christianity are close enough to each other that to dismiss the critically significant distinctions would be just too mean. At times when pressed he may certainly critique bits and pieces of it, most respectably Protestant-oriented folks do.

But he simply cannot see how all the other Anti-Christs are invented, shaped, and slammed into the psyche of whatever Scripturally ill-equipped tribe there is out there by that Institution. Doesn't matter if it is the most godless atheist philosophy or the most rigorous religious devotion, any Jesus that is one of those Deceptions is and always has been generated by Cain's Legacy once fully embodied by Babylon but now deftly managed by Rome on through the Anglo-American Hegemony.

Lennox is not alone. I try to get a broad understanding of the things happening all about, and yes, a lot of people are consumed by what is happening with the war with Iran. Just as much concern comes with where the "AI" is taking us and the resources being commandeered for the data collection required to fuel it. From both the globally disruptive supply chain breakdowns, the massive energy consumption, and a number of other things like the climate alarmist policy inanities, one podcast guest I saw said it can all only lead to something of a famine.

Fear porn? Maybe, but anytime I see this I always want to share with my readers what they should learn from The Revelation. Read it, please, if you haven't. If you have, read it again. I do at least once every year. It is sobering stuff, yes, but it is thoroughly consistent with Who God has clearly demonstrated He is. Someone who absolutely hates evil to the extent that He died and rose again to live and reign in the Kingdom so we may have complete deliverance from that evil and bountifully live also... but He has allowed it through history so (1) people can see the consequences of their wicked part in it, repent, and believe on Him ("for the Kingdom of God is at hand," as Jesus Himself says in the fourth chapter of Matthew) and (2) so the World System can do its work to prosecute those who choose to remain in their dissipation or even in their rage go on to expressly rebel against duly authorized potentates so those potentates may execute its just seven-fold vengeance against them.

I saw a brief note from the controversial journalist Tucker Carlson where he said the things happening out there right now will either lead to a totalitarian state or a revolution. Mr. Carlson is usually very insightful about some things, and while this is an obviously trenchant observation it is just not anything new, it just isn't.

Everyone, at all times, through all of history including every moment of the United States of America enterprise, has always been under a dictator -- always. Democracy is just as fanciful as any claim "WE HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC" is bleated to attempt to make it less preposterous. No, sorry, everyone has a king they want on their side to kick their reviled bad guy's ass. So yeah, the silly leftist blap "NO KINGS" is no less pointless.

The real question is, who is your king?

Then there is the whole revolution part. Of course there will be a revolution! In fact, in some ways, there has always been one. The bigger, the louder, the angrier -- the better. It is exactly what Rome wants and has always fomented -- that's its job! It can then remake the world into what it wants engendering greater and greater allegiance to itself by a reprobate population that is told Rome must be that one great powerful bully that will gloriously reign over whatever bad guys it has provoked.

Real quick I can't help but add a couple things related to this idea that are all over that painting, that one I shared in my last post, from the amazing Baroque painter Diego Velazquez, Las Meninas. So much there, but a couple thing.

First, look at the size of that canvas on the left there in your frame. It is huge, almost as if to tell you that you cannot miss the glory of the System here on colorful display in grand magnificent form. Believe on it and you will be just fine. The look on the artist face is one of stern conviction adding to the power of what the painting in the painting is insisting you embrace.

That we aren't allowed to see the content of his masterpiece also makes me think -- really, it could be anything the System considers necessary for its work. This includes any Jesuses required for exhibition and then intractable belief upon. On that canvas is, indeed, Your Own Jesus.

Also, the king and queen make an appearance, but are wholly marginalized there in the mirror/window/painting (??) on the back wall. While the children making up the next line of System imperators are most showcased, the real power is in the hands of that chamberlain there in the doorway. It may be worth noting that the vanishing point of the piece is indeed his elbow right in the middle of his arm -- always a symbol for the most ruthlessly effective power.

And then, forgive me, but I can't help but make mention of the child kicking the dog, the breed of which looks very much like a wolf. This to me is also quite significant. I'm no genius art critic, not close, but it just seems to me encouraging the wolf and getting it going out there to be likely the most important part of administering the whole thing -- well, first it will be putting on its clothing, you know what kind...

All of that is the System. All of it. All the posturing that comes through whatever airwaves are out there now that get people either zealously devoted to the ordained bully or raging and roiling and railing against him -- all of it serves Rome's purposes.

But then there is the Kingdom...

That first image accompanied a DataRepublican substack piece that I'd wanted to post in my last home page piece, but it just didn't work. It is a marvelous graphic depiction, however, of the Culture War, and thought I'd include it here. Thank you to DataRepublican who does marvelous work exposing the money laundering racket that is the NGO network, something I touched on in a recent home page piece. Here is my page with some thoughts about the Culture War.
