The Exceedingly Baroque World We Occupy Today

Image
I was listening to a fine John Lennox speech put into a podcast, and it was precisely about the thrust of my own web ministry . It was called "The Greatest Deception the World Has Ever Seen," and sure enough it focused on Jesus' warning in the 24th chapter of Matthew that there would be quite a few Jesuses out there people would believe upon all the way up to the end of the age. It was a fine explication and worth listening to, it is here . Thing is, he did not get to the main  Anti-Christ to whom hundreds of millions of people give their undying devotion, the Roman Catholic Ecclesiocracy one. Mr. Lennox will never, ever mention it because he too is subsumed by the idea that really, Rome and True Biblical Christianity are close enough to each other that to dismiss the critically significant distinctions would be just too mean. At times when pressed he may certainly critique bits and pieces of it, most respectably Protestant-oriented folks do. But he simply cannot see how...

We All Though Really Just Really Really Want To Be In The Great Big Club

Image
I was listening to a Greg Koukl podcast interview with fellow apologist Tim Barnett and it was all about the "AI." Very good stuff, there is always something new to discover not just about what should be called SPIT (Superfast Processing Information Technology) but how people are thinking about it and more importantly being captivated by what the Romanist mandarins are doing with it. Tim brought up something about it that relates to the seriously entrenched echo chambers the whole chatbot obsession is creating -- perfectly what the Jesuits want to happen!  -- everyone just living comfortably in their own "cognitive universes," as another pundit called them.  One of the examples Tim shared was how some detractors will incessantly post the notion that Christianity was the most oppressive, imperialist, just-plain-rotten thing that ever happened, you know the trope. Tim added in his own web efforts Red Pen Logic  he has had to set the record straight with all the great ...

More Reality and Another Bit of Trolleeing

Image
I was listening to Greg Koukl's podcast yesterday and he had a personal take on the Bob Dylan major motion picture biopic that came out a few months ago. First of all, I'd mentioned Mr. Koukl in my latest home page piece in the context of his unwillingness to call out the Roman Catholic Church for what it really is, only because his tax-exempt non-profit relies on the ecclesiocratic hegemony and all its devout followers to fund his enterprise. Otherwise, he does do pretty decent explication of Christian things. In this instance he pointed out how influential Dylan was on a whole generation, there in the 60s, but that the foolish idealism that exuded from that whole mentality is so destructive. He specifically noted the zealous insistence that young people were going to save the world, and then asked the important question. "Do you know why young people will not save the world?" At that point I instantly thought these words -- and yes, quite sadly, a very veritable Tr...

The Distinction Couldn't Be More Important, But It is Hard to See When You've Been a Captive for So Long

Image
"It takes all of us to advance social justice."  This was on the chyron at the bottom of the Rams-Eagles playoff pregame show on Sunday. You must remember that the whole idea of "social justice" was invented by the Jesuits so academicians and bright smiley media personalities may virtue-signal about how much they are for government forcing people to hock it up for the little guy. Of course the NFL had been on the racialist gravy train for some time now, plopping those pithy sayings on the back of helmets, at the back of end zones, and in frequently broadcast virtue-signals -- you know the ones, all about how white people really need to get into their preferred struggle session because they are so racist and uncaring. The big-time Trump inauguration was today, and all I saw in the mass media and social media was how radically delightful everything will be. Or radically fascist it will be, depending on your political disposition. Everyone seems to be either lionizing ...

What Modernism Hath Wrought, Addendum

Image
Yesterday I put up a post to share some thoughts about the thing imagination . Afterwards I did some pondering about my words, and my soul convicted me that many would very likely read those words and think I'm into some kind of weird unbiblical mysticism.  Often the thing mysticism  is bound by the World's definition, just to get Christians to be judgmental about things. Sometimes they are right, true, but sometimes the World consumes their thinking. The Kingdom truth is the Bible clearly tells us about the beauty and wonders of God's mystery, and it is perfectly okay to commune with Him in ways only the heart can understand. Indeed that's much of the thrust of this blog ministry, precisely that His wonderful matters should not include any of our pathetic assumptions about them. Let them be mysteries yet settle in with the assurance that He loves us, cares for us, walks with us, teaches us. The Bible is also clear that He made each of our imaginations to grasp the mea...

Know About the Catholicist Nation and Know Freedom

Image
I was listening to a recent podcast by Greg Koukl of Stand to Reason  while doing some yard work today and he generally does a fine job of elucidating biblical principles and logical truths. In this one he addressed concerns about someone who made the following statement, I assume it was in a tweet: "It is an act of love to abort a brown child rather than give it to white evangelical parents." Greg was aghast and did the standard apologetic about abortion and so forth... but then he could still only conclude with simple dismay and resignation about the woeful terribleness of this idea. Sad, because if he truly knew how much the Jesuit Order through its vast communication network has convinced so many that "Christian" = Roman Catholic Ecclesiastical Body with Fully Exerted Seven-Fold Retributive Force, he and anyone with any insight would see that in the eyes of this tweeter "white evangelical" is merely that force embodied in the "white imperialist h...

Another Sobering Truth Rule Most Gladly Dismiss

Image
Abigail Shrier has sort-of established herself as the go-to voice of reason in the discourse on whether or not in the name of courage and freedom and individuality and just plain wretched foolishness someone should mutilate their body and become some other type of biological being. The most typical one is a man or woman "transitioning" into a person of the opposite sex. From what I have seen and read of hers, I think her take is a bit limited -- it seems she's only interested in making the case against  children  doing it -- you know, adults are autonomous beings and never mind that there are all kinds of nefarious things adults can do too that are regularly and robustly censured by everyone all around. I do believe, however, Shrier is firmly against adult "transitioning" also, so I won't criticize her for something of which I am not certain. She may just want to be focusing on making sure our children are not criminally violated in these ways, so she's ...

An Important Truth Rule That Is Almost Always Completely Misunderstood

Image
A few blog posts ago I admitted that a lot of what I do is splash a bunch of words on the computer screen so I know what I want to say. I wondered about admitting that because it may make it seem I don't know what's in my heart. Yeah, sometimes I don't, but sometimes I really do and the words just come out the way they do which may not be exactly the way I want to them to. Umm. Thing is everyone does this. No big deal. Sometimes we write pretty well, other times it is a bit meandering. We do our best. It also doesn't mean a particular Truth Rule isn't absolutely veritable. I'm writing yet again because I cannot neglect to post a link to this piece by one Kevin Smith over at Off-Guardian . It is obvious he is working it to get down key truthful things but it is just sort of a rich genuine flow mostly related to his considerations of the shared observations from an individual of some stature. Kinda cool actually, the truths he elucidates, but he's just riffin...

The Book of Eli and the Kingdom Cancel Culture

Image
There are two motion pictures that have half-hour long conclusions that I have seen dozens of times. I don't watch or even remember much of the regular bulk of those films because they are far too crushingly depressing, but that is some of why those particular segments are so transcendently transformative. The films are The Shawshank Redemption  and The Book of Eli . Not going to get into Shawshank  right now, and if you know the film and know the substance of that last half-hour or so, you know. You may be like me with tears flowing from my soul as Red settles into his seat for that bus ride to the border. Same thing with The Book of Eli . When that brand new makeshift printing press on Alcatraz Island is printing up those pages, my soul just streams those tears. But again, it isn't just the divinely powerful redemptive quality of the story, it is the contrast to the pure evil. In and around the completion of Eli's mission there at the end, we see Carnegie consummating his...

Magnificent Acceptance

Image
On my long walk the other day I was ruminating on the contemptibly massive dissipation of the pretty decent things we've enjoyed for some time in this United States. Many are a bit upset about how this recent presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump, and it definitely was.  It is far more disturbing to realize how few understand it should be way more soul-crushing to observe that there are in this United States so many people who are willing to cast an official registration of their desires (by their vote in a civil election) for more proliferated sexual assault crimes (any promotion and enabling of LGBT+ activity), more destruction of people's legitimately earned income and wealth (gruesomely distended public assistance programs and abusive monetary policy mandates), more of the explosively ugly bearing false witness (rampant accusations of some absurd identity politics violation obliterating lives and livelihoods), and the latest, more pounding down the stultifying...

The Silence of the Lambs, Covid-19 Version, Part 4

The silence continues to be deafening, the volume quite intense. It'd be nice to have Jesus and His wisdom being widely broadcast, but those who say they're His seem to tarry. I do see some out there boldly sharing solidly truthful things, even at some cost to their reputation, their livelihoods... that's good -- it's what Jesus' call to agape  sacrifice was all about. But when watching the World System have its way with so many of its devotees, as it is with this coronavirus hysteria, wow, it is extraordinarily sad. They're  exceedingly vocal. I happened to see even Dr. Phil, a rousing product of the World himself, was eviscerated by The New York Times network of social media cronies when he actually shared some of those very uncomfortable truths about the reality of the coronavirus situation. (Please visit my other blog posts  from earlier and the links therein to see more of what those things are.) No wonder there are so many who are silent. I came ac...
