Finishing up some web reading I thought I'd direct your attention to David Bell's article over at Brownstone . It is really how the principle of Universal Basic Income is really just a form of murder. Read it, you'll see. On my social media a post reminded me of John Calhoun's work with mice. I don't know the details of this work, might be apocryphal, I don't know. But he put a community of mice in an environment where they had everything they wanted. I confess I am not a fan of July 4th festivities. I know this will get me in big trouble with the more zealously patriotic set. It isn't that I don't appreciate what we enjoy in the United States, I am always doing what my Lord asks me to do and pray for the people in it, even those in significant positions of leadership whomever they may be.  I could detail some of why I feel the way I do, but really, I'd just be trolling, and encouraging trollee'ing. Why. I will say, however, that yesterday -- on this day of grandiose celebration of good wholesome all-American things -- a sudden massive rainfall led to catastrophic flooding in central Texas. Already some two dozen are confirmed dead and many more are still missing. Over 200 hundred people have been rescued by courageous and industrious emergency personnel, so that is a very good blessing -- that there are that many people smart and prepared to do that. I simply have to direct you to this article over at ZeroHedge , one that comprehensively lays out the ironclad economic laws related to price controls. There are a number of things that should be augmented to make this idea much more clear. First , note all the imaginative ways value assignments have been messed with in the worst ways. I came across a couple more monographs about the impending war, the real live physical one we're about to enjoy as a result of all the horrific emotional and spiritual violence spewed about right now. I'd written about it a bit recently in this blog effort , and ruminated a bit just as these fellows did about how expansive and even secessionist it will get. I'm currently reading the book Filterworld  with expansive details about a very real Truth Rule reality: There is no such thing as "A.I." One of the most sinister things anyone can spew out into the world of hearers is the term "A.I." to describe what is merely Super-Duper-Fast Processing Information Technology. There are so many things happening that are destroying the soul of this country, things that have been destroying the souls of many nations for some time. In fact I'd say those things have always been destroying their souls from time immemorial, it's just people don't notice because they've been taught so well to be too stupid about it all. What is it? What's really happening? I have so many notes to blog about so many things, many of them coming from the same old stories and the same old pointless solutions to these phenomenally harrowing things. These days I'm seeing a lot of posts and writings about how the Christian is supposed to behave around this time, when "THE-MOST-IMPORTANT-ELECTION-OF-ALL-TIME" is imminent. Some of them have a few decent things for anyone to consider, most however are all about how devout the Catholicist  should be in contributing to Cain's Legacy -- however pointless it truly is in the eternal. In my devotional this morning I decided to read a chapter posted for me from my web devotional site, a passage that may seem to indicate we're supposed to dutifully vote in civil elections and pay excessive tribute to appease potentates and all the rest of it. About as good a description of Cain's legacy of the most ferociously proficient law enforcement is at Robert Morse' blog Straight Line Logic . Everything about it is so dead-on solid, except for the very last two paragraphs. Oh he's got the freedom part right, but wrong Freedom.
