Floods, Addendum

Image
Just a quick note about my last post from a couple days ago.  I'd mentioned the catastrophic floods in central Texas with no intention of sharing that just to make a metaphor for some great spiritual truth. I'd even mentioned that in the blog post, even though I did talk about things related to simply not being prepared when it could very well be the case we could be. That severe weather event there could have been something that was indeed just a freak meteorological incident and all the warnings in the world could not have prevented the tragedy. There is so much to understand regarding that. I'd also heard, however, that there were protocols that could have been activated but were not, and because of that many lives could have been saved simply by having a more rigorous effort to evacuate when they could. There is so much to that as well, and why I'm posting again to say none of us know everything to know about what could or could not have happened. It is a very good...

The July 14th Celebration of the Pretend Freedom Everyone Thinks They Have

Image
Today is July 14th and you know what that means. We all get to think deeply and longingly about all those who heroically STORMED THE BASTILLE! We can contemplate what it means to FIGHT THE MAN! We can labor maniacally to keep any misled potentate from infringing on MY PERSONAL FREEDOM DAMMIT! Except that over 100,000 French law enforcement agents have been mobilized for today's festivities... you know, because the last few weeks have been a riot of freedom in France, literally , and... you know, having law enforcement breathing down your necks at every corner is the very definition of freedom. No, really, the red-letter date July 14 should be celebrated for the launching of the ship Negrona  from Venice en route  to Cyprus then Haifa to bestow upon the newly emerging brilliant militant operative, recently blessed with the authority to govern the World by Pontifex Maximus, all the iconographic insignia handed down from Cain when he was first awarded the duty of managing the pl...

The Romans 6 Factor

Image
I will confess right here and now. I am a passionate San Francisco Giants baseball fan . I grew up in the California Bay Area, and my dad took my brother and me to a number of Giants games. We sometimes went with our Little League teams. Being at Candlestick with them and watching Mays and McCovey, even Maddox and Matthews play ball was transcendently enchanting. When they finally won San Francisco-residing World Serieses in not only 2010 but 2012 and 2014, it was rapturously delightful. What is even more agonizing is I will never stop rooting for them. I still occasionally peek in to see how they are doing there in the standings, hope they're doing okay -- indeed right now they are a winning team and this weekend taking on the hated Dodgers. Of course I actually like the Dodgers but only if we clobber them often enough. It is no good to play ball against nobody -- you've got to have a bitterly detested archenemy to loathe with all your guts . The Los Angeles Dodgers are that f...

The Jeremiah 50 Factor

Image
I've just uploaded my latest home page piece , this one for the summer here, and I always blog a bit to introduce it. There is always something I can add to the discussion, sometimes something I simply could not fit in the home page piece. It is really hard to do that right now. The reason is simply there are too many insanely demonic things heaving up from the Infernal Palace that I just don't have the time or wherewithal to get into them. Lots of others do, and that's fine -- I'd even made mention of Victor Davis Hanson who does a spectacular job of constantly reminding us of how Hell's designs make their way into interminably legitimate Ecclesiocratic behavior. Sometimes it just gets overwhelming. I can, however, make a brief reference to what I see in Scripture that reminds us that no matter how maniacally destructive are the arrangements of Cain's Legacy, God wins in the end. As heinously lethal is the Culture War, "Mercy triumphs over judgment." ...

The Rich and the Powerful Reality

Image
Recently there was a piece written about the exploitation of people's financial sentiments in Quillette  called "From Panic to Prudence." It got a bit into the history of it all, and pointed out that the 1906 San Francisco earthquake was a contributing factor to the Panic of 1907 since the desire to rebuild the city led to an overwhelming demand for capital. The strain was simply too great and the economy couldn't handle it. Of course there were several more complexities involved, yes, but as I thought about it I thought about the idea of risk . Building things on a fault line carries with it risk. The thing risk  has been mentioned a lot in what people have said or written about the most recent financial disaster. What to do, what to do with that thing risk. And I thought, huh, we could go far to identify all the things that comprise that thing.  I know of something that is the absolute worst kind of risk -- much worse than an earthquake. Man's sin. Like Jesus, ...

Only From the Kingdom Can One Fully Love Thy Neighbor

Image
I am fascinated by what Jesus told His disciples in the tenth chapter of Matthew. He sent them out to share Him with others, and the thing that strikes my soul right now is where He told them to stay. He told them to find those who knew Him -- those weren't His exact words, but Jesus knew there were those who lived the Kingdom and would be the most hospitable to them -- so much so that He insisted for the entire time they ministered in that town they stay only with that one home He knew was the most Kingdom.  He even said if there was no one in the town who was Kingdom, then leave and shake the dust off your sandals as a sign against that town. Ouch. Thing is, there are those who Love Thy Neighbor with His love, and it is very good to let them do that very thing. That's the essence of sowing the Kingdom in Christ's name, love, and power. Another critical component of that, however, is truth . This is why it was so refreshing to come across this piece about how extraordinar...

It's Always Been Cannibalism, No Hifalutin Politician Has Ever Changed That

Image
From what I hear, tonight US President Joe Biden is supposed to give some major speech, something about bringing back the soul of the country or something. His people have so effed up the country, here's to hoping it is about healing and reconciliation. To that end here's what I'm expecting him to say, after all the introductory pleasantries: "I am completely rescinding all the massive federal payouts that really amount to robust racketeering activity. All the insane corporate welfare payments, all the 'inflation reduction' climate change hysteria giveaways, and especially anything related to things like student debt relief which is so brazenly unfair. (And I won't let the horribly exploitive universities off the hook either, they're just as much rackets as any of them.) I apologize for thinking just dumping money in people's laps would fix things. I just encourage people to work hard and try to do as well as you can, and for the states to do their ...

The Struggle Session Dominion, Addendum

Image
While I was channel surfing I came across a movie, I believe it was called Greenland , about a family's attempts to escape an extraterrestrial disaster of some kind, you know, meteors or asteroids hitting the earth and all. I don't know, I didn't hang around to see much of it. But one scene featured people watching events unfold on the television in a bar or restaurant. The news guy was reporting from somewhere, and sure enough a large fireball came from the sky and obliterated his location. As it always happens with these kinds of things, instantly the screen went fuzzy. Very scary. I mention this because I just felt compelled to add an addendum to my post from yesterday about what is really going on with the Covid thing, that too many people are so overridden with guilt in particular circumstances that it drives the lockdown protocols -- indeed it drives much of what is ultimately wrecking things today. How many insane policy implementations are destroying our world in t...

More Post-Born Children Condemned to Death Too

Image
I saw a brief part of a news piece on the television that showed a poll result: 60% of Americans care most about the economy, while only 20% think it is abortion. The message the System spokesholes want us to put deep into our craniums: Get with it. Abortion is just not that big a deal. The economy is. Ahem . The abortion thing IS the economy . As long as we fail to get down the transcendent meaning about what it means to be a human being and what it is to have a family and be in a family with a mother as a woman and father as a man fulfilling their God-ordained roles, then the economy means squat . How about another photo tour? May I? This one consisting of a couple of my own photographs and a few screenshots covering a mere five minutes or so of Bloomberg television, taken from last Thursday morning I believe. You'll get the idea -- err, um -- maybe not. Maybe you are so enamored with the System's version of truth and meaning that this will all be gibberish. But maybe you...
