Finishing up some web reading I thought I'd direct your attention to David Bell's article over at Brownstone . It is really how the principle of Universal Basic Income is really just a form of murder. Read it, you'll see. On my social media a post reminded me of John Calhoun's work with mice. I don't know the details of this work, might be apocryphal, I don't know. But he put a community of mice in an environment where they had everything they wanted. Food, shelter, comfort, companionship, all the very nice mouse things. After a while they started dying off. Thought I'd add a few more thoughts about my recent post and our visit to the "Magic Kingdom." I'd riffed a bit on the meaning of the whole Disney dominion and how it is merely part of the System's enslavement, as fun, exhilarating, and yes, enchanting it is to enjoy it all. One of my favorite film characters is Napoleon Dynamite. He is viciously authentic, idiosyncratically imaginative, fastidiously cynical, yet wants to enjoy the most meaningful relationships even with his bullying detractors however grudgingly. How joyfully engaging is his support of Pedro as he tries to win that election. How bountifully sincere is his friendship with Deb, with Alphaville's "Forever Young" playing in the background -- just heart-rendering. Recently came across another fine exposition by Todd Hayen over at Off-Guardian . It splendidly echoes the Truth Rules shared in my last post : That the System manufactures "realities" to compel people's "obedience to the understanding," and with the latest "A.I." CGI capabilities that will become more and more proficiently accomplished. Hayen emphasizes the System principle pounded into the mainstream psyche that the main rule of life is you can make your own rule of life, indeed that you can choose your own reality. He does fine work to speak to this principle's untenable logic, one that has actually been known of for millennia. If my  "reality" is different from your "reality," how can there be one true reality? And if there isn't, then what is the value of any  "reality" if, yes, none are actually real? But, alas, people lost in their own reprobation and thoroughly given over to the System's take on thing...

It seems everyone really likes making FREEDOM  and DEMOCRACY and WE-SIMPLY-MUST-DO-ANYTHING-NECESSARY- TO-STOP-DICTATORS their supremely sovereign gods. How many times do I hear about how much of an "existential threat" some powerful government official will be if he or she gets into some position of authority. Never mind that for several years now people have been childishly using the word existential  as if it related to fears about not existing, when it means nothing of the sort. But it is part of the fiercely distended liturgy, so, well. The truth that just about everybody who blaps incessantly about political matters simply refuses to get is that there is no democracy. In my web surfing this morning I came across a post from someone linking to this movie scene . It is from Margin Call,  a film that came out a scant three years after the latest major financial crisis in 2008. I'd blogged on it already a few times before. They'd linked to it with a remark something along the lines of Here we go again... The scene is easily one of the most horrifying scenes anyone could behold. No, there are no wild knife-slashings and gushing blood-spewings, there are no roundhouse kicks to heads with teeth flying about, there are no machine gun rounds being unloaded onto evil gorks or dorks or orcs -- oh yeah that's what the ugly evil dudes are called in Lord of the Rings -- as the victims' bodies gyrate to the impact of the bullets smacking against them. No, what makes the scene so harrowing is that all the perpetrators are wearing spiffy $1,000 suits sitting pleasantly though quite uncomfortably in a big-city office-building high-floor plush meeting...

There is another striking Proverb, this one the 22nd in the 27th chapter, that says it doesn't matter how much you shake a fool's head and tell him or her "Stop it," the folly still remains. Bam . The only deliverance is The  Deliverance, Jesus Christ. To see with His eyes and understand with His mind. That's it.  Otherwise, fools are going to do folly. I can't help but share the latest of the World idiocy out there, these just some of the most shining examples. There are so many, but these are pretty rich. One, some large presumably well-respected athletic organization established a competitive event of some kind as "open enrollment." The idea I am sure is to avoid all the ruckus about men-pretending-to-be-women competing in women's events, just make it so anyone who wants can join up: men, women, non-binary, anyone free-to-be-who-they-want-to-be-hey-we're-all-extra-tolerant-here -- and then it will all be fair and open and wonderful. Umm......

The Oscar awards were on the other night and while a long time ago when I was a starry-eyed kid enjoying the movies and actually getting into those awards, now I don't pay any attention to any of it at all. I actually looked and I could only find four decent movies that won the best picture award over the past 20 years or so. The rest were either garbage or, if I didn't see them, they were about a theme that was garbage. For instance a film I did not see,  12 Years a Slave,  may have been a wonderful story about a courageous  man seeking his freedom in a world of injustice -- I get all that, that's fine. But the only reason that film got as much acclaim as it did was it was merely another way for the entertainment virtue-signaling hegemony to lambast white people for being so evil, and to augment the continuing modern-day witch hunt of anyone who doesn't buy into the Frankfurt School Critical Theory dogma that is destroying everything.
