It is funny, a social media thread that got quite a bit of traction recently related to the question, "How often do men think about the Roman Empire?' All kinds of responses went into the interactive cybersphere, most of them whimsical, you know, "No wonder my husband doesn't think about bringing me flowers any more," you know, those kinds of things. Well, in actual reality where our own personal identities and professional purposes and eternal destinies are quite relevant to every element of our thinking, the Roman Empire should  be something every one of us should be seriously contemplating at least a little bit. Hey how about this anniversary! Another one! 100 years too! If we traditionally count the beginning of the school year as officially end of August, beginning of September, then juuust abouuut riiight abouuut now is the 100th anniversary to the  day  of the opening of the Frankfurt School, back then in 1923. Today is July 14th and you know what that means. We all get to think deeply and longingly about all those who heroically STORMED THE BASTILLE! We can contemplate what it means to FIGHT THE MAN! While I was channel surfing I came across a movie, I believe it was called Greenland , about a family's attempts to escape an extraterrestrial disaster of some kind, you know, meteors or asteroids hitting the earth and all. I don't know, I didn't hang around to see much of it. But one scene featured people watching events unfold on the television in a bar or restaurant. The news guy was reporting from somewhere, and sure enough a large fireball came from the sky and obliterated his location. This morning on the talk radio show I heard that 52% of the population are in favor of dissolving, dismissing, eliminating, forgiving all college student debt. 52%. More than half of the people in this country. Wow, how much people are absolutely clueless about the breadth of institutionalized theft they enthusiastically endorse. In my last blog post I shared a bit about a critically important Truth Rule that is under serious attack by a critical mass of severely misguided and stunningly powerful individuals and interest groups, the very simple one that you simply cannot choose your sexual identity . It is an impossibility, just as it is an impossibility to fly without some kind of lifting apparatus should you leap from a tall building. June 19th, or "Juneteenth," has come and gone, along with another splendid opportunity for devout leftist SJWs to bully anyone they think was, is, or will always be a part of the particular brand of slavery they revile. What a weekend for the System's provocations. One of the most important functions of Cain's legacy is to stir rebellion in its nation's inhabitants. And this weekend may likely be the most pronounced celebration of that significant activity. Today you have a commemoration of the final announcement of emancipation made after the Civil War ended in April 1865. This is unquestionably a fine thing, emancipation, liberation respected by the authorities, the official end of slavery.
