Wonderful Matters

It has been a good week since I published my latest home page piece , and I usually don't wait this long to put up a blog post to mention it. But work has been busy, I've been worn out, and I've even caught something so I'm just laying low for the weekend. There were half-a-dozen things I thought about putting into a blog post to augment that home page effort . But I'll put it on hold for now. I'm just blogging to blog about it, direct your attention to it if you are interested, and I'll just get to other things later. Some of my reluctance to get too deeply into it is yet again relates to my feelings that after saying the same thing a hundred times yet looking out upon the wretched stupidity that still happens pretty much everywhere, well, you know. It does get very discouraging. Sometimes being relegated to a trollee is just not fun. Just a blog post to share that I did put up my home page piece for the summer, it is at the webzine. Back in the early to mid-1900s when the best Frankfurt School instructors started loudly pontificating about all the ways the exploited and oppressed can be used as tools for greater authoritarian hegemonic rule -- in the name of the grandest virtue-signaling, of course -- one of the most critical weapons they knew they needed to expropriate was the means of communication through the most watched mass media channels. You can see the effects of this now quite successful commandeering in the whole Olympics thing. It is presumed that just about everyone watches the Olympics. I know there are a few who don't, and I happen to be one of them. Just to share, the last time I watched any of it was in 1976, and I do confess it was fun to see people like Nadia Comaneci and Bruce Jenner do the things they did.
