Might Want to Look Deeper Inside The City

Image
Today it seems everyone is raging in some manner over the congressional testimony of supreme public health mandarin Anthony Fauci. The most vitriolic seems to be coming from those who knew what was really going on with the Covid Hysteria as early as April 2020. I recently came across yet another list of all the horrors that institutionally manufactured hysteria brought about, it is there in that X post. Very true, very real, and very destructive. Recently excerpts from his diary emerged that reveal some of the things he was thinking and feeling at the time, so they asked him to appear in a very important looking hearing just this morning, and he basically appealed to saying nothing at all, which he did. Of course he did, anything he says would be used against him in a court of law and you know the rest of that. The screeching response seems to be that Fauci is arrested, tried, convicted, and drawn & quartered. For those who wail that he was protected by some kind of blanket preside...

The Rationale of an Excommunication

Image
My recent home page piece gets a bit into my own professional life, and the experiences I have had with the now entrenched woke  hegemony. I have been an experienced and reasonably decorated school teacher for now about 35 years. Most of that time was spent teaching high school Civics and Economics in the public school system, and certainly being a devout follower of Christ I have wondered if readers of my webzine and blog might wonder, "How could you be situated in such a System institution like that?" I have indeed thought about assembling something of a comprehensive polemic to answer that question, and I'm afraid I cannot do that now. It is simply because there is so much to it, including my consideration that people like Joseph and Daniel were in the service of Caesar in some high office yet still served Christ and loved others where they were. I have also had the opportunity to share Christ's love with thousands of students, some hundred of whom actively and vo...

"That Makes It Official"

Image
The Oscar awards were on the other night and while a long time ago when I was a starry-eyed kid enjoying the movies and actually getting into those awards, now I don't pay any attention to any of it at all. I actually looked and I could only find four decent movies that won the best picture award over the past 20 years or so. The rest were either garbage or, if I didn't see them, they were about a theme that was garbage. For instance a film I did not see,  12 Years a Slave,  may have been a wonderful story about a courageous  man seeking his freedom in a world of injustice -- I get all that, that's fine. But the only reason that film got as much acclaim as it did was it was merely another way for the entertainment virtue-signaling hegemony to lambast white people for being so evil, and to augment the continuing modern-day witch hunt of anyone who doesn't buy into the Frankfurt School Critical Theory dogma that is destroying everything. Most of the films have that increa...

The Shining Factor, Part III

Image
Did you know there was another The Shining  motion picture in the works, abandoned after  Doctor Sleep just didn't cut it at the box office? It was a prequel of sorts about Dick Hallorann, the Overlook Hotel's chef and quasi-caretaker who, of course, has "the shining." This again is the ability to sense the supernatural, particularly the evil that can be out and about working to snatch our souls. I'd previously remarked that anyone can have this ability, in the Christian sense it is discernment , simply identifying what is righteous out there as opposed to, yes, I am not ashamed to say it, as opposed to the stupid.  As I wrote in my home page piece this season , I wrestle with calling anyone a fool because in the fifth chapter of Matthew Jesus warns against it. I do believe, however, that he was distinctly warning against calling someone a fool when you yourself are just as much of a fool, and often by doing so you are simply stirring dissension and not working t...

Only From the Kingdom Can One Fully Love Thy Neighbor

Image
I am fascinated by what Jesus told His disciples in the tenth chapter of Matthew. He sent them out to share Him with others, and the thing that strikes my soul right now is where He told them to stay. He told them to find those who knew Him -- those weren't His exact words, but Jesus knew there were those who lived the Kingdom and would be the most hospitable to them -- so much so that He insisted for the entire time they ministered in that town they stay only with that one home He knew was the most Kingdom.  He even said if there was no one in the town who was Kingdom, then leave and shake the dust off your sandals as a sign against that town. Ouch. Thing is, there are those who Love Thy Neighbor with His love, and it is very good to let them do that very thing. That's the essence of sowing the Kingdom in Christ's name, love, and power. Another critical component of that, however, is truth . This is why it was so refreshing to come across this piece about how extraordinar...

The Cyborg Desire

Image
It really is the next step in the evolutionary line. The best humanist materialist World devotees are slavering over it. Plug me in. I want to be plugged in. Seriously, to be mechanically fused to the System so there is no question about how good you see me to be so you won't hurt me would be a dream come true. Futurists have been talking about it for a couple centuries, really. The most renowned one, Ray Kurzweil, had declared the "singularity" will happen by 2045. That's really not too long from now. I only share this potential reality to post a heads-up to Todd Hayen's excellent piece in Off-Guardian , one in which he takes the roof off the marauding technological advances today . This paragraph is the one that is the most harrowing, after he questions exactly how much has it all advanced our society today? Other than medical issues, how else has technology diminished our lives? From a very broad perspective, what has gone down hill as technology has advanced ...

The Juneteenth Mythology

Image
The Americanist enterprise sure does spectacularly with its grand mythology. The latest episode is the Juneteenth craze, the celebration that should now be pounded into our psyches commemorating the day shortly after the end of the US Civil War when the last slaves were pronounced to be free. I wrote some blog posts back in 2020 about the phenomenon, so I won't detail it much here, but I wanted to share some thoughts about a key idea embedded in the whole thing. Indeed it is really the raison d'etre  of the whole thing. It is gathering so much steam, by the way, that I'd read 30% of the workforce is taking the day off today, this Monday after the 19th. I'm sure that percentage will grow as the mainstream mass media mandarins rev up the racialist tropes. "Don't pay the requisite amount of respect for the Juneteenth holiday? It's obvious you're a racist." Except for one thing. See, the whole thing rests on the idea that slavery ended on that June 19...

We Have Been Past the Point of No Return for Millennia

Image
One of the things that has fascinated me is how so many people around the globe could be carrying out the exact same foolishness related to this Covid thing. Someone in Austria is expressing the exact same sentiment as someone around the corner from where I live. "Wear a mask - get vaxxed - stay home or you'll kill someone!" How could all these people who've never met one another have the exact same viscerally gripping conception? A couple posts ago I wrote about being past the point of no return on this thing. After spending some time in prayer and Scripture, as well as just looking at what is going on out there right now, I've realized the point of no return occurred around six millennia ago when Cain murdered Abel and God sent Cain away but told him to run the city that would do all of what you are seeing today. What you are seeing everyone doing is nothing different than what people did in their devotion to Cain and their service in his city millennia ago. It...
