I was checking out The Matrix  again last night -- yes, I'd already seen it a few times. I really like the scene when Morpheus explains everything to Neo, much because the comes-the-dawn moment is the overarching goal of every follower of Christ in sharing the gospel with someone. Neo does take a bit of a leap of faith in swallowing the red pill, but that indeed is a lot of it -- a trope that has become quite common as you may well know. Want to know reality, really ? The Great Big Club Owns You

Wait! I forgot to add a critical component of The Great Big Club George Carlin famously riffed on a number of years ago in his viral routine. In my last post I'd mentioned that all the rich and powerful people are in a big club and "You aren't in it." I'd added that the club is really the Roman Catholic Empire and that whether you like it, tolerate it, or revile it to the point of wanting to blow it up, you're in it if you aren't in The Kingdom instead.  The emphasis was on the fact that even if you are part of the noble crusade against the evil oppressive imperialist fascist hegemony, you are a Roman Catholic,  merely because you are being delightfully played to do all the resisting and rebelling and obsessively intoxicating revolutioning so many thrill to do because they absolutely despise having their concupiscence called out by any judgmentalist forces. The Tyranny of the Oppressed Immunocompromised

The devil is having his way with millions right now. I guess he can't wait until they arrive in Hell. And I'm not talking about his ushering in those whose Covid-19 infection is sloughing off their mortal coils a bit sooner than they thought. Looking at the way people are behaving based on the pronouncements of the medical-journalist-political uber-mandarins, it is not surprising the devil has such a vise-grip on so many souls. This whole coronavirus thing isn't at all about the disease. It is about the standard operating procedure of Caesar's authoritarian System. I have to admit I borrowed the title from a pundit whose web published piece was "The Dictatorship of the Immunocompromised."
